It was too good of a series in my opinion to have ended on such a shitty note! The anime was only good up to the 16th episode, afterward it just went down hill. 

Hopefully a few years from now another anime studio besides madhouse will do a remake of it. Hopefully a studio that will give the series the justice it deserves.

Well at least it had a good soundtrack. 

Yeah I agree I wish they would remake it like they did FMA… I watched all the way up to episode 23.
